Library Takeout-Curbside Pickup

Our Bennett Civic Center and Carl Sandburg Libraries are open for service! Fully vaccinated patrons (meaning those who completed their final dose of a safe and effective vaccine at least 14 days ago) will no longer need to wear a mask, but patrons who are not yet fully vaccinated must continue to wear a mask or face covering to protect themselves and others. We will provide reference services in person and via telephone or email, computers will be available for use up to two hours per day (reservations required), and socially distanced seating has been added for your convenience. Curbside and Walk-Up pickup are still available. Schedule your curbside pickup appointment by calling (734) 466-2491 at Civic Center Library or (248) 893-4010 at Sandburg Library. Meeting room use will not be available at this time.

Once you are notified that your holds are available, call us to schedule a 15-minute window to pick up your materials. Please arrive at your scheduled pickup time. Let us know you are here by calling (734) 466-2491 at Civic Center Library or (248) 893-4010 at Sandburg Library and then open your trunk or lower a backseat window and a staff member will place your items accordingly (we ask that you close your own trunk after we walk away).

Do you have more questions about our current services? Find more answers to our frequently asked questions here.

If you need help picking out items, you can also request a book/media bundle. Fill out a form for pickup at the Bennett Civic Center Library (Picture books, Grade School books, Tween books, Teen books, Adult books, Music CDs) or the Carl Sandburg Library (Picture books or Teen books) and a staff member will contact you to schedule a pickup time.

Do you need a library card? Livonia Residents who do not have a library card (or who have an expired card) can fill out this online form.

The Friends will resume accepting used book donations at the Bennett Civic Center Library beginning August 16. Please remember that we can only accept items in good condition. No encyclopedias, magazines, vhs tapes or cassette tapes will be accepted. Please limit your drop-offs to 5 boxes or bags per day so the Friends of the Library are not overwhelmed with their sorting duties.
