Kids and Tweens
through grade 7
The annual Kids’ Summer Reading Program is going outside this year! Join us for Outdoor Storytime, a petting farm, Wacky Kids Olympics, and much more! Online registration will begin on June 1, 2021 (new year, same software! Just be sure to update your account), and readers will be able to track their progress and earn online badges. Paper reading logs are also available for download on our website or pick one up in the library.
Tweens (kids entering grades 5-7) will have their own online program along with unique challenges and activities.

Teens
entering grades 8-12
Create an account and log each hour you read in BEANSTACK (Online registration will begin on June 1, 2021). This app can be downloaded to a mobile device or accessed online. Every 10 hours read earns a drawing entry for one of the 12 prize baskets (up to 100 hours/10 entries). Attend programs to earn even more prize basket entries! Teens who check in with 25 hours will receive a Tails and Tales Journal or Pop Socket. Click here for a listing of all the events!
Teens who check in with 35 hours by 7/31 will receive a completion certificate and free book! This summer is going to be WILD! Happy reading!
Adults
We have a great online Summer Reading Program in store for you in 2021. Readers can earn a prize drawing entry for each book they read, which can then be placed in the virtual jar representing the prize they would like to win. Please note that “book” means print, ebook, and audiobook. Read any way that works for you!
Participants get a prize drawing ticket just for first time online registration at Beanstack! Register at livonialibrary.beanstack.org beginning June 1.
